75g build thread

well im preety sure this is the right place for this :

ive recently set up a 75g system. at the mo its cycling over wit ha bit of LR till i can afford more, the stand still needs some work done to finish it . and i have to work out where im going to put to PC fans in the stand sumwheere as its getting far to humid

here are pics of the system and the setup process and how things look at the minute :











the equipment list is as follows :

-drilled amazon tank ( i drilled and made the wier myself using 4mill )
-rio 2500 return pump
-aquamedic OR 2500 as a CL pump
-2x tunze nano 6025 powerheads -- on the way
-aquamedic auto-top up
-TMC V2 400 skimmer ( with rio 2100 pump )
- arcadia series 4 pendant. 250w MH with actinics(x4) -- on the way
-2x 11w arcpods for the fuge section of my sump

total system is just over 75gallons. stocking list is as folows ( soon to be)

*7 - green/blue chromis
*2 - firefirefish ( seem to come under many names )
*1 - scooter blenny
*1 - cleaner wrasse
*15 - red legged hermits
*2 - cleaner shrimp
*2 - pepermint shrimp
* assorted selection of snails
*1 - queen conch ( maybee a fighting.. got to reaserch how big they get)

It look like a good project mate looking good so far must send some pics when you get so live stock in there mark

well. i finally got round to running a load of water tests and had the following results :

PH: 8-8.2ppm
Amonia: 00ppm
Nitrites: 00ppm
Nitrates: 00ppm
Calcium: 430ppm
KH: 10.2
(all using salifert test kits)

i've also changed my stocking list. but may get rid of some of the wrasse's on the list and just stick with the 6line. we shall see. my mate has the same stocking list in the same tank with almost identical equipment and has had it running amazinly well for nearly 3 yrs now

heres the new list :

1x cleaner wrasse
1x six line wrasse
3x filamented flasher wrasse
7x blue/green chromis
2x exquisite wrasse
2x ocellaris clowns
1x dartfish

i know it sounds like a lot. but i have another ( not sure if ill keep the v2 400 as well or not ) deltec skimmer on the way. so i should be able to cope with a high bioload. + im seetting up a secondry sump accross the room from the one now.

are you going to test for magnesium,
and phosphate at a later date when your live stock is in there then.

well. getting sumwhere very slowly. got all the LR i need. and the CL is working properly
