help : TMC V2 400 skimmer

well my skimmer is set up on a new 75g system. the water SG is stable. but theres no livestock and the tank is just cycling over with about 40lb of LR and Live sand at the mo.
the skimmer seems the have fluctuating bubble levels... with the water setting on as low as it will go the bubbles still jsut pour into the collection cup producing no skimmate ( just clear water ) i have tried puting an air valve on the venturi inllet but then i cnt seem to adjust it to get any skimate . is this just because its new ( been running 3-4 days now ) and hasnt bedded in yet ?

any ideas or help ??

Hi and welcome i have a v2 1000 skimmer on my 120 gallon tank and yes it took nearly a week before i could control the bubbles and get a good skim rate its because its new just put the flow of your skimmer so that the water is flowing through your skimmer with out going into the collection cup and then just turn it up a bit at a time until you get what the level you need hope this helps.
